Tooth-Colored Fillings

At Stubbs Family Dentistry, we offer treatment for smiles of all ages, preventing tooth decay from becoming an infection that threatens smile stability. With our custom treatment option, we can address cavities in one visit to stop discomfort and protect smiles in West Allis. In addition, using composite resin instead of metal means our team can provide restorative results that look natural!

When You Need a Filling

If you attend your routine exams and cleanings with our team every six months, then we can likely identify cavities in the early stages of demineralization, before you develop tooth sensitivity or toothaches. Otherwise, you may not know you or a family member requires treatment until the tooth begins to hurt, at which point the risk of an infection is much higher! Don’t ignore persistent pain in a tooth, please let us know right so we can conduct an exam and see if you need a dental filling.

Placing Our Composite Resin Fillings

The process only takes a single visit to complete! To get started, we will numb the tooth so you’re comfortable as we remove decay and clean the tooth. After we remove bacteria and decay, we will place the prepared filling inside your tooth. We then cure it with a special light. The composite resin we use contains no metal, and can be shaded to blend with the tooth. Since the material is biocompatible, this means your restoration can stay in place for years to come, protecting your tooth from further decay or infection.
