Tooth Extractions

There are many ways to help save a damaged tooth, such as dental fillings, dental crowns, and root canal treatments. In situations when we’re unable to restore a tooth’s function and stability, a tooth extraction may be recommended as an option to help maintain your oral health. We perform all tooth extractions, including limited wisdom teeth removal, in our office.

Why Get a Tooth Extracted?

Removing a damaged or decayed tooth may help reduce long-term oral health risks, such as increased infection, bite misalignment, and further damage. We also recommend replacing the extracted tooth with a dental implant and crown. This will help maintain your oral health while also giving you a full smile.

How About Wisdom Teeth?

Third molars are also called “wisdom teeth.” Patients usually get them in their late teens. Sometimes, they don’t affect your oral health, but if they grow in crooked, they may damage nearby teeth or affect the alignment of teeth. They could also be impacted (not growing in) and remain in the gum tissue. In cases like these, we recommend removing the wisdom teeth.
