Stop Suffering and Seek Restorative Treatment

Stop Suffering with Restorative DentistryDental discomfort can cause a great deal of disruption to your daily life. From interrupting your morning coffee break to causing you to skip out on after-dinner drinks with pals, it is hard to enjoy what were once fun parts of your weekly routine, when your tooth hurts, much less aches. Fortunately, restorative dentistry makes it possible to bounce back from many dental problems, and often much quicker and more simply than you might think. So if you are ready to get back to enjoying the good life you have created for yourself, instead of cowering away from your favorite foods and beverages, because of dental pain, it’s time to talk with the restorative dentist about what can be done to help get you smiling, and socializing, again!

Are You Suffering from a Cavity?

The most common dental issue to affect both adults and children, alike, is dental cavities. Fortunately, in most cases cavities can be treated with minimally invasive treatment, like a dental filling. Fillings can be used to help seal teeth against further decay, and also to prevent infection. Plus, many modern dental fillings can be made of a tooth-colored material, called composite resin, which makes for more seamless restorations than the metal amalgam material that was once commonly used.

Could Root Canal Be Necessary?

In the case of advanced cavities or other damage that has led to an infection, root canal treatment may be necessary to save the tooth. While this is a more extensive treatment than fillings and dental crowns, in some cases it is the only way to help prevent a tooth from becoming abscessed, falling out, or even from requiring extraction.

Following root canal therapy, the dentist can use a porcelain crown to help protect the fragile tooth, as well as to restore the smile’s appearance!
