Root Canal Therapy

When a tooth becomes infected, your team at Stubbs Family Dentistry can help with restorative dentistry. An endodontic treatment known as a root canal can address infection and prevent a patient from suffering further discomfort and potential tooth loss. Our team can provide a root canal, and also work with specialists in our community for those with more severe cases. You don’t have to live with discomfort, our team can provide personalized care and lifelike results.

When to Seek Treatment for Infection

How do you know if you have an infected tooth? Symptoms vary, could include:

  • Tooth sensitivity and toothaches
  • Pain when chewing/biting down
  • Facial and jaw pain
  • Swelling
  • A discharge from the tooth

When you experience one or more similar symptoms, please reach out to our team right away!

The Root Canal Treatment Process

If you have an infected tooth, we will plan treatment in detail using digital x-ray images. When the time comes for treatment, our team will use dental sedation to keep you comfortable as we open the tooth and remove the infected tissues. We then clean the interior and seal the tooth with a biocompatible material. We may then place a lifelike and durable dental crown to complete the process.
