ClearCorrect® Offers Cosmetic Orthodontics

If you have uneven teeth and want to see them straightened, but worry about the impact of braces on your appearance, then you may want to talk to our team. With the ClearCorrect® system, we can correct your misalignment with clear and cozy aligners! In today’s blog, your West Allis, WI, dentist talks about cosmetic ClearCorrect® aligners.

The Factors Behind Your Misalignment

How does a smile develop misalignment? You could develop crooked, crowded, and overlapping teeth due to premature loss of baby teeth in childhood, which impacts how permanent teeth erupt. Losing teeth in your teen and adult years could be a factor too, as this gap allows surrounding teeth to drift from position. The arrival of wisdom teeth could alter your alignment, as could thumb sucking or even tongue thrusting in childhood. The factors vary, but the results are a smile that makes you feel less than confident. Misalignment also makes thoroughly brushing and flossing difficult, leaving you more at risk for cavities and gum disease, as well as TMJ disorder and bruxism (teeth grinding). But we can correct your smile with a cosmetic approach using our clear aligners!

Creating Your Custom Orthodontics

The ClearCorrect® system employs a series of clear aligners made from a BPA-free plastic material. We will take detailed digital images and measurements of your bite and send them to experts, who will craft your aligners in a lab setting. When your custom orthodontics are ready, you can start smile correction!

Treatment with Cosmetic Aligners

The process is simple. You will wear a set from the series for about 20 to 23 hours a day on average. Each set is worn for two weeks at a time, and you start wearing the next in the series at that point. With each set, your smile is gradually and gently corrected, as you come closer to an even smile. For some, optimal results could be possible in as little as one year! They are also easy to clean and maintain, and you can remove them before meals, so no need to change your diet or skip certain foods. Being removable also means a much easier time brushing and flossing then if you had braces, so the risk of cavities, gum disease, and teeth stains are much lower.

If you have any questions about shifting your even smile with the ClearCorrect® system, then contact our team today to learn more. We want to offer better oral health and a smile that makes you feel more confident!
